Mitochondrial Medicine Southeast Symposium 4/7-4/8
FMM & UMDF HOST MITOCHONDRIAL MEDICINE SOUTHEAST REGIONAL SYMPOSIUM
The United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation (UMDF) and the Foundation for Mitochondrial Medicine (FMM) joined forces this Spring to bring this exciting educational opportunity to the Southeast Region. UMDF and FMM are dedicated to providing quality education about mitochondrial disease to medical and patient communities and supporting research advancements to find better treatments and cures for mitochondrial disease.
The UMDF brings education to clinicians and patients throughout the year with its Grand Rounds program and regional symposia. FMM, through its Hope Flies Health Series and Webinars, is dedicated to creating awareness for mitochondrial disease and fueling connections with familiar disease organizations. The 2017 Southeast Regional Symposium was a prime example of fueling connections and collaborative efforts in Birmingham, Alabama!
Program offerings included a full day CME activity on Friday, April 7, 2017 and a half day of sessions for mitochondrial and related disease patients and families on Saturday, April 8, 2017.
Friday evening, April 7, included a dynamic Keynote Address, Human Energy and Performance: Transforming the Way We Work and Live from The Energy Project. Thank you to all our presenters, attendees, supporters and friends.
